ZŁOTY TUR 2010 IN SOPOT

Soon many fans of our sports disciline will have apossibility to see struggles of the strongest competitors of our globe during this year’s, 11th Złoty Tur Cup and at the same time 8th World Professional Cup – Nemiroff World Cup 2010. This time according to the decision of the organizers - Mazurenko Armwrestling Promotion Sp. z o.o company from Gdynia decided, the tournaments will take place in Sopot, and more precisely in Sheraton Sopot Hotel. Many of you asked why we went away from the capital of Poland. As until now the tournaments were taking place in Warsaw prestige hotels. Well, there are several reasons of that. First of all the city of Sopot is one of the most beautiful resorts not only in Poland, but also in Europe, famous for its festivals, longest wooden pier in Europe – so the pier of Sopot, expensive hotels, sandy beaches. KOTE RAZMADZE ABOUT ZłOTY TUR CUP

Redaction of Armpower asked Denis Cyplenkov a trainee to say something about the international tournament Złoty Tur Cup. Below we show you cogitations of Kote Razmadze from Russia.I Got to know about the tournament from  Alexey Voevoda in 2000 for the first time. After I came back from the World Championships in Finland Alexey told me that Igor Mazurenko from Poland invites him to Złoty Tur Cup. Frankly speaking I did not take that tournament seriously at that time. I did not even suspect that in time Złoty Tur Cup will become the most prestige tournament in the world.While considering this tournament we may say that is shows us the current history of European Armwrestling. The duels of the tournament have for sure secured their place in history of world armwrestling since 2001. It is worth to pay attention to the duel of Cetan Gaschevski from Bulgaria and Alexey Voevoda. In this duel 78 kg Cvetan beat much heavier Alexey. IGOR AKHMEDSHIN ABOUT ZłOTY TUR

The Armpower red action asked the former President of European Armwrestling Federation (in 1995-2001), the founder of Russian Armwrestling , the organizer of international tournament Złoty Niedźwiedź Cup (in 1990-1999), Armwrestling activist currently asleep - Igora Akmedshina for the opinion about the Złoty Tur Cup. Below you may read some words of the Russian activist.I have got an honour to write something about the event which left a huge trial  in the history of world armwrestling for the first time for a long time. In 2000 when I saw Igor Mazurenko from Poland for the first time in Moscow I did not have any idea that the photographs he showed us in Olympic Committee were the photos of the famous Złoty Tur Cup, which is frequently talked about recently. In connection with the huge amount of the eager to come and take part in the 10th Zloty Tur Cup - Nemiroff World Cup 2009 the organizers of the tournament ask for sending the following information to: contact@zlotytur.com - for teams and competitors: the full list of the competitors from a given country including the information about the weight categories in which the competitors are going to start - for the visitors, press, media etc. – name and surname, name of the represented company, pesel, the actual photography (additionaly information of indispensible press accreditations etc.) Above mentioned data are necessary to define the initial number of competitors, media who want to participate in the event. read more...
